@[email protected] there's a difference, actually. Prime example is Hitman 3: you don't have to kill your target, you have to eliminate it - which might include:
- Destroying the donor heart;
- Making someone else kill the target;
- Arrange an accident where the target dies.
Not all of these are a kill, but they're all eliminations.
