still feel bad about how i handled dealing with Linux a while ago
like honestly I'm impressed with myself i managed to just set all of that up without my bother, which is what i usually need
guess at the time i just wanted to have a working computer and didn't feel like dealing with Linux issues
still dunno what caused those issues, maybe didn't have something install, who knows
i certainly didn't, fedora encourages you to disable root but it also means you just can't use it's recovery mode thingy
