why do people CW self promotion again
it's SELF PROMOTION
to promote yourself
if that isn't a good enough reason to give your post more visibility then i dunno what is

some people do it because that's what their server requires them to do
for example my server has a rule that you need to CW any post that mentions religion
so maybe their server has a rule to where if they're doing self promotion it needs to be labeled as such
